Terms of service
Last updated: 31 August 2026
The agreement
These terms cover use of Lumio, operated by Lumio Software LLC, by a venue. By using the service you accept them.
What the service does
Lumio answers your phone, answers caller questions from information you provide, checks availability, and creates bookings in your Lumio account.
What you are responsible for
The accuracy of what you configure. Hours, prices, room capacities and the answers in your knowledge base are yours. Lumio reports what you enter, so information that is wrong or out of date will be told to callers.
Meeting the call recording and consent requirements that apply where you operate.
Keeping sign-in credentials secure, and telling us promptly if an account is compromised.
Making sure use of the service complies with the law where you operate.
What we are responsible for
Running the service with reasonable care and skill, keeping venue data separated, and telling you promptly if something goes wrong that affects your data.
What we do not promise
Lumio depends on telephone networks, speech systems and hosting we do not control. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. It is a receptionist, not a guarantee that every call ends in a booking.
Payment
Fees, billing frequency and notice periods are set out in your agreement with us.
Ending it
Either side can end the agreement with 30 days written notice. On ending, we will make your data available for export for 30 days, after which it is deleted.
Liability
To the extent the law permits, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
